Ok, this is meant as the semi-bitter post for all the huge mountain of interested parties reading these pages. What you pay is what you get. There is no such thing as a free meal. What you sow is what you reap. Canned Heat started as an idea and a big heap of energy. And then the energy went out the window and the idea is not enough. So at one point being stressed out and tired I just said, I've done my part, now it is somebody else's turn. I've done my share of crap tbh. Mistakes, missed opportunities, bad ideas, I've done them all, but until the bitter end I put in all I had. Either you do the work or get the fuck out. And I got the fuck out, since I wasn't gonna do the work anymore. And then, the pickup was sheit. We were just gliding on with whatever momentum was there to start with, and I had too little energy to step back in and neither was I the one to do it, since me doing that would undermine whatever authority Max needed. So I was stuck at watching it go over and out. I'm going to stand by my conviction that all should go where they feel good. Where they feel appreciated and where they have the most fun. Canned Heat was only what people made of it, the GM can only be the motor and not the boat. I liked to boat, I disliked the motor for a while. For my part I've gone to a guild with an idea which is - progress? What does that mean?. People enjoying progress would be better, if a bit superfluous. I like just people enjoying, but that was CH and that didn't end well, so what do I know... But I like one part much - energy of the GM. There is this a nice GM, and she is having a lot of problems to fix and weird thing - she is trying hard to fix them. Now the way she is going about it is different than what I would have done - but that isn't even the point - the point is I see someone putting a lot of energy into making a guild work, and that is something I will subscribe to. Because with energy+nice person+dialogue, the sky is the limit. So right now, even with a non-ideal situation, far from perfect new guild, I am happy with the current situation. Canned Heat - went to Shameless on Ravencrest and it could be worse. Shameless player base is a bit CH-ish, with a bit of self glorification, generally well-meaning atmosphere and alting across the board. What is missing is a proper amount of self ridicule to go along with self glorification. I am still not sure if not moving to Auch was the best decision. I hate the split of people that it provoked. I like the new people I've met because of it. Tbh it would be hard to avoid a sort of splitting at any rate - was more a question of when and how than if. I'd want you guys back, ... even Max. After he comes out of being missing. Max I liked you, but you are crap at leading. |

One fact when it comes to progress is that you need a strong guild system in order for everything to work. When I made Sine Metu I also found out how mutch small work there is to do so it takes time.
Wishing all Gl and people who have talked to merge with Sine Metu are more than welcome.
