I cant help it to repeat myself We do raid, we do down bosses , we do wipe... but we are by all means NO raiding guild...! At least not hardcore (omfg did i just say that? ow well...not the point realy) The point is, we want you for your person and not for your epics! If we wipe, we wipe... ok... but... even if we wipe and wipe and wipe... and at the end of the day/week didnt down the boss... we expect people to still be able to.. eat pie
A spot in a raid is also in no way garantied... we might even NOT raid from time to time...
All we are after is to keep the spirit in the game and have fun.

This being said, and if you do agree with this... you got my vote.

Ow and by the way... Naxx is cleared now Cool

We were to late lol... he despawned... so we took his seat :)

The first Naxx10 week is over and it's been a strangely positive experience. And that is including all the wiping.

We've all been doing the Naxx10 for the first time and there is always a learning curve between reading up on tacs from the net and doing it yourself. I expect the number of wipes to go down on the completed bosses, but not to 0. Anyway, that's not really the point. The point being, how the wipes didn't implode on the morale and people just took them for what they are - part of the game. Nothing special about them. It's good to avoid them if possible, but no suicide or murder needed in case they happen. I have never, ever... ever had a raid group where not a single guy would moanin about the repair bill, or just general all that is fail in his mind after a wipe. Thank you for joining the raid and making it fun. I remember the stress a raid was in some previous guilds, and how it made me view a raid as a mega stressful exam. The last week made it look like a barbecue. I love barbecues.

Bosses downed are:

A few more things happened during the last week...

I hate kicking people out of the guild. If you leave by yourself it's ok, especially if you say what your reason is. I don't think a guild should ever be considered a place where you must stay, or else we'll all hate you until the rest of your life. Bah. It's a game, you should enjoy it. Always do what you feel is right for you.

But we did get 2 guys in this week, who were imba. "You guys suck", "You guys are noobs" in guild channel kind of got them gkicked in about 2 seconds, specially since they did this like the same day they joined. wtf? I know it's not the exact words said. The first one was something Naxx related I think - about the guy doing it soo easy and we really must be bad to wipe. Was a bit meaner said, so the notion was in the you suck area.

Even so, kicking them still feels bad. I want to avoid this like a plague in the future. It's not how things should work. I know part of the error was made before the kick anyway - we invited them. We should try to spot the imbaness before the invite. I still think every nice! guy or gal should be welcomed, but an application on the forum should be used more now, or doing a few instances together, or a chat. In any case - we'll want to get to know peeps a bit better before the invite. I like the forum application option the best, since all the guildies can say what they think about the application there. Specially if you are telling about your past experiences with a player. That stuff is worth a lot.

We are growing. And what has happened is that the spot on raid cannot be guaranteed. Well, healers are a bit of a missing entity, so not much problems there, but specially dps is going to be benched a lot. There is no good solution to this. We'll try keep it fair, but you know - fair is such a nice word and so easily said, and so impossible to achieve, especially when you have to balance raid composition, squeezing in guys who are waiting for a chance and making sure guys who have been in before don't get ditched. It's all up to the raid leader in the end, he has the final say... You can bet he also has 100 whispers a second.

Anyway if we keep growing, and get some healers in, there is a chance of a second raid group. But that's far fiction. A guy can dream, can't he Embarassed.

(Edit: Updated downed bosses... Text is totally like from last year still - need to write an update Innocent)

Naxx10 and Archavon10 PDF Print E-mail
Written by Fireson

Yeeee-ha. We've started 10-mans.

Archavon was 1-shoted, so was Naxx's Anub'Rekhan.

We got the Patchwork down to 2% in 3rd try. So he is doable, but I'd like a bit more gear to bring this encounter into the comfort zone.

Last we went to Faerlina. We've made 1 try on her, and the lady should be 1-shoted the next time. But unfortunately we got a screwed by the high-geared pug-added shammy. He killed the adds.Cry (QQ, cry me a river...)

It's getting crowded on the ventrilo (8-slot free version atm), so I'd like to push for the TS2 - Teamspeak 2. The voice quality is not as good, but it is free and there are no slot restrictions.

FYI: We've now got more than 10 level 80 members, so not everybody can get in on the raid. The slot allocation is purely up to the raidleader. No QQ, bitching, nagging, annoying will help. If you get the invite, you are in. (You have all the rights to decline the invite, because you want to finish up a quest/instance with your friends. But the new invites will be comming only when a spot frees up - we are not kicking the pug members after they have joined.)

Teh Status PDF Print E-mail

Just in case you are wondering what our current status is...

I mean, as a guild. Not individually. For individual status you'd want to check the forum.

But not really "want" to see (hint). I mean. Let's just say people are unique. Being nice, being nice... Foot in mouth...

Number of level 80s is 8 by the last count, the rest are leveling up nicely. We are pretty active lately. The peak activity is after 9pm server time.

We are mostly doing heroics and getting geared.

The guild is growing slowly, which is pretty much exactly what we were aiming for. No need for 50 bad members who would be breaking the fun for the rest, we just need a few more, since the primary goal now is to do Naxx-10. The 25 is not really planned, but I guess it all depends on how the guild grows  in the next months.

We've done a mixed Naxx-10 run with PvEDummies and this is definitively the thing we'll want to do again. Looks like multi-guild run can work out - I'm talking from the viewpoint of enjoyability. Was quite fun. But it was an unexpected run (we've pulled a raid together in about 10 minutes), so nobody read any tactics. You can guess how that turned out Sealed.

Heloo and thanks for checking us out.
Our mission is simple - we want to make our WoW more enjoyable. That's it.
The core guild is based on long playing members, who know how to play PvE.
We are a social guild. So we want to get to know people. It's not required that you participate on the forum, but I guess, the kind of people who want to join us, will want to do that.
We also all generally strive to improve our play all the time, we hope you do too. (Obviously imba guys don't need improving, since they are perfect ... and thats only Tryagain!)

The basic notes:
1) It's a game (we are not taking this stuff too seriously. laughter & jokes = goood)
2) Your life takes priority - exams, business trips, vacation, ... we all got stuff to do. Keep your promises if you can though.
3) A Wipe does not mean the world has ended. (Of course it is up to the whole group to decide how much wiping to take before the one causing it is replaced or the instance is abandoned. But a few wipes can make things interesting. Especially since trying to ward them off can bring you to the limit of your game.
4) Poking at each other on guild chat and ventrilo = good. You shouldn't get angry about it.
(On a personal note - I'm getting owned by some clever Schwarzi all the time. And so is my mum.)

There are no obligations that the guild members must fulfill - like mandatory minimum activity, material grinding, and similar stuff, which you can find in hard-core guilds. On the other hand, there are no red carpets being laid down to please the players either.
I've helped out a lot of guys a lot of the time, but I'm much more prepared to help somebody I know. It's not as much a guild rule, as it is common sense. So let the people know you. This is the best way to motivate them into joining up for some group quests and instances. I hope you will use the forum and ventrilo voice chat to your advantage in this.

Feel free to join us. Best is to put in an application post on the forum.
For any questions, whisp Cintricky, Cintrax (ye, it's the same guy - the GM), Fireson, Stpeter, Flippoke, Tryagain.
